πΏ A quick intro Step into the rich countryside and history of the Kent Weald on this guided historical circular walk from Tenterden to Rolvenden. Starting from Bridewell Lane Car Park on Sunday 2nd August, this circular route explores a landscape of orchards, woodland paths, quiet country lanes, and traditional villages shaped by centuries of rural life.
Leaving Tenterden behind, the walk heads out towards Rolvenden and Rolvenden Layne, following a varied network of footpaths and countryside tracks. Along the way, walkers will experience the sights and sounds that define this part of Kent, including the distant puffing of steam trains and the gentle flow of streams and rivers through the landscape.
As with all of Benβs historical walks, the route is filled with stories that bring the surroundings to life. Expect tales of an unfortunate encounter with a windmill, a Reverend who managed to annoy a Queen, and the secrets behind a hidden garden tucked away within the countryside.
